In the past Winterset has held an Annual Raffle Night, a huge club gathering where members have the opportunity to support the club by purchasing raffle tickets, winning prizes donated by area ski mountains and shops.
It's time to start planning our Annual Raffle Night - Winterset's yearly fund raiser, and your help is needed. Please keep reading - it's easy help.
Winterset tries to provide a free social event to club members each month of the year. To raise the money to fund these events and keep them free (and also to subsidize our ski trips), Winterset holds an Annual Raffle Night.
We need your help and support - first in helping us make Raffle Night possible, and second by attending Raffle Night, purchasing raffle tickets and winning great prizes.
This is your club and the more you help, the more successful we are, the more we can offer our members.
Probably the best part of this whole thing - this is a great way to get involved and meet other members - members to ski with, socialize and be friends - after all, isn't that why you joined a ski club?
Please let us know if you can help us in any way.

There are numerous tours in Johannesburg and Pretoria and its environs, please go on our website www.zulunyala.com for more information. In May 2010 a new airport opened 35 miles north of Durban King Shaka international Airport (DUR); they offer flights from Lanseria Airport (HLA), 2.5 miles from Zulu Nyala Country Manor just outside of Johannesburg. For your domestic flight contact Kulula/British Airways www.kulula.com is the only airline that fly round trip from Lanseria to King Shaka Durban and Cape Town.

When should I book my Safari?
Most people book their reservations at least 8-12 months or more in advance and popular times to visit are May thru November. September, October and November are the busiest seasons so plan accordingly.
When is the best time of the year to visit?
Hluhluwe has a sub tropical climate with mild winters and hot summers. The summer temperatures are usually between 82° and 90°F with December to February being the hottest months. The winters are never cold and temperatures are rarely below 70°F during the day and 40°F at night. It is advisable to take a warm jacket for game drives as the early morning and evenings on an open vehicle can be chilly.
Africa’s winter months, which are from May to Aug, are the most appealing time to visit for several reasons. First, the temperature is comfortable. It tends to be in the 70°F during the day and in the 40°F at night. Also, there is less foliage and the trees are bare. This means that the animals are active and can easily be observed. In addition, the Eucalyptus tree, pineapple fields and sugar cane fields are a worthwhile sight to see.
Summer Season – September to April Winter Season – May to Aug
Temperature – 60°-90°F Temperature – 32°-70° F
You can check the weather forecast on www.weathersa.co.za for Kwazulu Natal, Hluhluwe area.

Game drives are usually held in the mornings and afternoons, and they can be from 2 to 2 ½ hours long. Evening drives and daytime bushwalks may also be available on request.
